Fact Sheet for Lincoln County After Care Program
After Care Coordinator. Pastor Rick Chesher, Lighthouse Vineyard Christian Fellowship, 704 SW Hubert St, Newport, Oregon, 97365. Phone: 541-574-4499 church, 541-336-3902 office. e-mail: pastor@pacificonline.net Rick is currently setting up in Newport a home with bedrooms and kitchen to be used as transition housing until the ex-inmate can get established on their own.
Purpose. Provide short term housing and assistance for inmates released into your community. Assist in making the transition from prison to the community and church.
Eligibility. Only men and women who have accepted Jesus Christ as their savior and have been recommended by the Prison Fellowship Bible Study teachers are eligible. The number of persons we can help by this after care program will be limited by the resources provided by churches and volunteers here in Lincoln county.
How can my church help? We are not asking for money, although that is never refused. Our plan is to have each church provide a small part that, all together, will assist each ex-inmate.
Continuing Needs.
Prayer. Your prayers are essential and very much appreciated. Lincoln City Contact: Pete Bogue. Phone: 541-764-3528. e-mail: pnbogue@wcn.net. |
